My "Wahi Pana"

Kohanaiki

Memories beckon.
My heart hears their summoning.
Respite from reality.
Miles of meditation lay ahead.

Bleached sand and ebony lava offer a gentle embrace.
Cool tender breezes massage achy muscles.
Rhythm of a roaring heart soothes worried thoughts.
Salty spray delicately caress my lips.

Drawn in despite foreboding.
Breath and pulse quicken.
Tribulations float away.
My soul is resolved.

  1. Mmmmm! Nice! Love the miles of meditation and drawn in despite
foreboding. I'm wondering if you would be drawn in if you did not
already have the beckoning memories from before? Or would you still
be drawn in despite the fear? Nice balance between meditative words
and achy, roaring, quickening words. Thank you for sharing.

  2. What a beautiful place to run ... and to meditate ... and to relax at start or close of day! I love the pictures you paint on the page with your words!
